What does Vitamin E do for the skin?

Vitamin E, or Tocopheryl Acetate,  is a natural, stabilized version of tocopherol which protects the skin from adverse effects of sun damage.  Supergoop! formulas all contain antioxidant vitamin E also as it’s properties, in plentiful doses, help to soothe and regernate dry skin.

Why Beeswax?

Beeswax, or Cera Alba, is purified wax from the honey comb of the bee.  Often included for its skin softening, antioxidant properties.

Why Avobenzone?

Avobenzone is an effective FDA approved, broad spectrum sunscreen, effective for complete UVA and UVB protection.  Make sure and look for the term “photostable” when Avobenzone is included as this means it will not break down quickly when exposed to sunlight.

Why antioxidant vitamins?

The environment can severaly damage skin by oxidizing and deteriorating cells in the form of free radicals.  Antioxidant vitamins (such as those found in all Supergoop! products) fight free radicals and prevent much of this damage.

Why Almond Oil?

Almond Oil, or Prunus Amygdalus Duclis, is vegetable oil from almonds.  It serves to protect the skin, relieve irritation and inflammation while providing a very emollient ingredient for easy application.
