Soak up the sun?

December 1, 2008

Studies tell us that a lack of exposure to sunlight drops levels of serotonin in our brain which can lead to depression.  This could be the reason we see moods drop during the winter months.  Our brains must have serotonin which can come from carbohydrates or preferably natural sunlight.

SO, even on overcast days, get outside or sit by the window…just do it safely with sun protection lotions, an umbrella or shade structure or sun protective clothing.
